Meet Our Team
Andrew Hoag: President & Owner
Andrew moved to Colorado from California to attend the University of Denver and immediately immersed himself in the Denver special events industry. Quickly realizing he needed a college job, Andrew began working as a production technician for Dance Trax Entertainment, a Denver based entertainment & production company. During his time at the company, Dance Trax Entertainment was awarded 2 Confetti Magazine’s Icon Awards:
- “Best Entertainment Concept & Execution – People’s Choice”
- “Best Social Event Produced for an Individual”
On campus, Andrew was a founding member of the 1st a cappella singing group at DU, called “The Idiosingcrasies”. His work with this group led him to create Colorado A Cappella 501 (c)(3), an organization designed to support high school and college a cappella singing groups. This organization rapidly grew over 3 years through the execution of dozens of concerts and events across the front range. After years of work, Colorado A Cappella was transformed into the Mile High Vocal Jam, a weekend long festival celebrating the art of singing all vocal music. The annual Vocal Jam is now produced by Sonic Audio Productions and draws a national attendance of over 1,000 students, clinicians, and celebrities to Denver every November.
As a result of their excellent work in the community, Colorado A Cappella was awarded a sizable grant award from the Contemporary A Cappella Society of America in order to continue their mission. The organization decided that their resources were best utilized as a production partner and as a result, the Colorado Audio Group LLC was created.
Since that time, Andrew has been hard at work serving as the President of the Colorado Audio Group as well as traveling across the United States in support of national music tours. In 2010, Andrew traveled to New York City to engineer concerts for the CMJ Music Marathon.
In addition to his ambitions as an entrepreneur and a production specialist, Andrew is now serving a 1 year term on the Board of Directors for the Mile High Business Alliance.
